NO!!!!!! that stuff is terrible for your car not to sound like an asshole but you kinda just ruined your car more than you helped it.

after that stuff dries it clogs up your coolant passages and can block your heater core. it may stop the leak if there is one but will clog up all kinds of things.

I researched like i do everything and your the first to say its no good. I just did it today and its stoped the smoking. We will find out soon enough but i plan on doing a swap this summer anyways whether it messes it up or not. Even though i doubt it will hurt anything.

these are two examples of bad stop leak. the first is off google but the second one is on the legend forum i am on and the issue was never 100% related to stop leak but was a good part of it. i have done a few heater cores in my few years as a tech and i look inside and find it all clogged up from that nasty stuff.

so it can help and it can hurt doesnt always ruin stuff but can. thats all not a big deal but glad to see your car is running better oh and if it stopped the smoking then you def have a bhg.

To be honest i think its more than a bhg thats why im planning on swaping. Its a temp fix untill i get my b18c or b17 gsr. From what ive read people who have problems with it over do it. I only used a 1/4 bottle not the full thing as the directions said.

neither of those links you posted are from stop leak.

1st is from a jag that had a shitty rebuild and the head was "dipped"(not sure but dont think it was dipped in stop leak)

2nd was from not using OEM coolant. It was silicate buildup from aftermarket coolant.

well idk bout the first but the second they think is from silica build up anyway it really doesnt matter

good luck with the swap and take lots of pics :)

Is is strange that my gauge mostly only jumps during deceleration? Could the advance in my cam gears be causing this?

i dont believe the advance in timing will cause it to jump during decel but it will cause it to run a little hotter dew to the added fuel in the cc

if it is the head gasket, the best remedy is to replace it. you are just prolonging the repair.

Ya it was just a temporary fix... Maybe not the best but if im swaping soon so whats the point. The Head gasket is brand new anyways. Im thinking the head is warped or the block could be cracked...who knows.

Hey guys, you know what I just noticed? My tempature gauge only jumps when I turn my blinkers on. Does that mean I need a new dash? Thanks in advance!

    no.

check your wiring to make sure they arent shorting on the temp gauge wire.
