Project AW11: Low n Slow

heres your update.

i managed to find a pair of Kosei K1 Racing in 15x8 +12. unfortuneatly after i just bought my tires today, i need something still wider and a lower offset. but these will do for now until i get a whole set. the tires are 205/50-15. before you question that i couldve put 225's on it, i like my streached tires. so

the flares still need some trimming and other shit. so w/e. good enough for now


4x4 status will be addressed after i get front wheels

well there goes another $360 to repairs.

$130 for new ebrake cables that just snapped in my driveway. and $230 for t-top weather stripping and shit. i hate cars.

i miss having money.

well i found out today my tires are rubbing under hard cornering. looks like im keeping the spirited driving down for awhile until i get coilovers and do some hammering

 

damn i just found ou tmy stock spring rates are 2kg/mm and 3.35kg/mm front/rear respectively.

thats depressing i hate my squishy ride.

on another note, i got those air fresheners daniel! i also got my new parking brake cable and t-top seals. they will be installed tomorrow woo! i can park and sit in a dry car! :googly:

installed new parking brake cables. took me from 3-9 with lots of water/drink breaks. (it was 98 degrees out today!! hsnap: ) old ones snapped when i parked in my driveway so ill been ghetto the past week and used a 2x4 when i parked. (putting it in gear did not stop my car from rolling for whatever reason.) got them from carjunky.com. great customer service and quick shipping :thumbup:

i also purchased new t-top seals and essentric guides to make sure my t-tops are water tight when installed. i got them from K-box (www.kbox.ca), great products and AWSOME customer support from them.

i got an email from them that is as follows:

Hi Kevin,

Before you install the seals, removed the rails if you can and check underneath. Sometimes the screws
which hold the rails rust out and allow water to come through. This would explain why water will come
out near the rear view mirror. Even if there are no holes, use some RTV between the rails and body.

picked up some RTV for seals (flexible and water proof) from autozone and i will be installing those tomorrow. no pictures because well, these are not very interesting things to look at
