old clutch. i have to paperwork from the previous owner. so i'll look up how old it is since it was resurfaced (if it ever was)

just cleaned the shit out of my engine bay with goo gone and a scrub pad, since the machinist wont be in until tomorrow

i also got the 4agze all prepped so all i have to do is bolt things together and put it in. i have class tomorrow night at 6, and work after that. so i may not be able to get it all done tomorrow. (keep in mind i sleep until 2-3pm because i work the 3rd shift)

The pics remind me of my Bug I had in highschool, I was always changing the motor. It had to be dropped from beneath in the rear as well. In a bug it is simple only 4 bolts that hold the engine onto the tranny.

How hard was it to drop the motor from the Mr.?

after figuring out what it was caught on, it went pretty smoothly. and luckily, i had a friend help me slide it across the floor. when i put the new motor in, im going to grab a furiture dolly (square with casters at each corner) so i can get it into position a lot easier.

i snapped some pics of the bay, transmission, and the gze as they sit before i came to work. i can upload them first thing when i get home from work (7:30am CST). tomorrow should have some good progress, as well as tuesday, so stay tuned!

realized i still need to buy belts, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, and an air filter.

pics as promised. it looks better in real life i swear. and i gave up cleaning that trans. it's clean enough to know where a leak is coming from if i so happen to get one.

ok, woke up about an hour or two late today. so i was only able to pick up some supplies before i had to go to school then leave for work soon.

first off, got some oil and the SC belt. i need to measure the ALT belt because i deleted the AC, or figure something out...

then i also picked up a cheapy intake cone filter. which will get rid of the stupid 'lets route the intake across the ingine bay, to the back of the car, and back around to the otherside' deal. (horrible restriction)

and here's the flywheel after resurfacing :D

ok as of just now; the flywheel, clutch, and transmission are all bolted to the 4agze. its on the ground and waiting for install. all connections have been made with the harness for the starter, and water temp sensors as well.

by friday night, it should be at least in the car. pictures are to follow later today when it gets a bit more light out :)

    lifting
    [IMG]

    keep on going...

    undercarriage looks decent
    [IMG]

slide motor under and lower the car
    [IMG]

    barely enough space to clear...

but the bottom has the least clearance
    [IMG]

    and all in
