    YES!

i just got a call back from pack racing about those wheels. the 15x10 wheels are available in 2 offsets. -26 and -18.

the -18 will stick the wheel 55mm further out than my 15x8 +12's were in the rear (almost flush) and the -26 will make me 3mm further out (right about where i need them!)

YES! i found wheels and theyre super cheap!

one drawback is that they have to be custom ordered because they are usually ordered for Camaro lug patterns and center bores. he said roughly 2 months or so to get them in, which isnt too bad at all.

thanks to our cold weather (and me being a dumbass and running more water than coolant) my car's coolant froze. so not only did i not have heat on my way home from my girlfriend's house in this 3 degree weather, but my car also overheated.

soooooo, im REALLY hoping i didnt crack a radiator or anything of the sort. tomorrow ill take a heat gun to my coolant hoses (which is quite a lot actually) and add more coolant than water.

i would estimate i have a 20/80 blend of coolant to water. not cool.

id hate to have to swap in my SC motor now... :roflmao:

not like i have anything to do until the 14th... just work twice and a whole lot of nothing...

today i decided to check out my cooling system. first thing i did was check to see if the water pump rotates, it did.

then i added some straight coolant to the system (about 3/4 gal) and started the motor up. with some coolant still in the funnel to where my radiator cap is, it started to foam.

bad sign for my head gasket... it foamed for maybe about a minute, then stoped and looked much more normal. the exhaust didnt have a sweet smell to it either. if it were to keep foaming, it would indicate that combustion gases are getting into my coolant from a few possible places. (cracked head, bhg, cracked cylinder wal, etc) but that seemed to stop after a while.

the car got up to operating temp and stayed there. the heat worked, and it idled fine. it was hard to tell if my car was smoking or not (cold weather, plus exhaust leaks) but i think it is fine.

i will be purchasing the rest of my parts for the gze swap this week instead of wheels. you know, a 'just in case' sort of deal ;)

Just curious, since you were adding coolant to the system, how did you get rid of some of the old coolant/water mix in order to add more coolant? Did you have to open a valve or something?

well i was a bit low on coolant seeing as my overflow tank's cap is busted. so coolant goes out, and only like 3/4 of it goes back into the system when it cools down. (which might of helped me prevent any motor damage (hopefully) because the motor wasnt full of coolant, so it had room to expand.

so i just added some antifreeze to lower the freezing temperate which also melted the slushie of coolant that i had.

on another note, i just got in contact with a guy for the ECU, igniter and coil ive been looking for. now i just need an intake manifold gasket and i can swap it in :) (maybe a new clutch too hahahaha)
