yup, thats pretty much what im going for. i may do the engine cover and trunk too. but thats not until later :p

my good friend also stopped by (we needed to replace a strut on his car) and brought me gifts. they are police flasher units. so my headlights, reverse lights, and tails will all flash just like police cars. should look pretty cool for track use :D

something no one around here has going on their cars

pic (post-it note on the backside telling me what wire goes to what. looks super simple to hook up.

haha yeah. im a ricer, what can i say? :p

the whole car may eventually be covered in the sparkle vinyl, maybe not. im not sure at this point. im trying it on the original hood that came on my car (not the one thats on it now) so if i dont like it, i can swap back with no harm done. :googly:

strobes will be wired up tomorrow. someone told me that they leave 'carbon' marks on glass headlights if used for a long time (over a few minutes). so i guess no hard parking for me at HIN :roflmao:

flashers may not work with my car. they require the headlight to always have a ground and have a switched power for high beams. my car has a fixed power and supplies the ground to close the circuit for the high beams or low beams. i got them wired to flash with headlights off (stock switch). id have low beams, and no high beams. if i switch the flasher on when low beams are on, they just get dim and dont flash.

the units are supposed to be able to be turned on with low beams and when you turn your high beams on they bypass the flasher to keep high beams on.

i may be able to use them if i add a relay or something. idk yet. i'll figure something out.

now, look what i found :D

"The newest Superlite wheel, the 15x10 is available in numerous bolt patterns and several offsets. Please contact us for more information."

i talked to a guy who is running some 15x8 +4 on his mr2.

i will be contacting the company later next week about offsets. they look to be low enough for me to run them ok. also, only $185 a piece!

probably leave it silver like it is. maybe satin black? idk.

ive been toying with the idea of full black wheels.

i may pick up some matching fronts too from them. probably go with the 15x8 +4 (ive seen people run the 15x8 +0 sportmax in the front with no issues with the same flares). we'll see come jan 3rd when i get a nice check for working a lot this week. (holiday, plus covering hours every day)
