is that a snail crawling on that block of wood next to that stand.....200% more boost huh? twincharged?? the best of both worlds, instant boost from the sc and easy to control with little boost spike! am i right?? :D

    pretty much.

i have two options as far as i see it for twin charging.

    1) one would be to route it so that once the turbo overpassed the supercharger's efficiency, a bypass valve opens and essentially making the motor turbo only at that time.

2)"Since a roots blower does not internally compress the intake charge (it just pumps it and it's compressed because it can't travel into the cylinders at the rate it's being pumped), once the pressure in front of the supercharger equals the pressure behind it, the supercharger ceases to do any work on the charge air. So literally the only gain you might make by re-routing the air is the internal friction in the blower itself. I never thought of that before. Good call. I'm awaiting a dyno with great eagerness."

im looking at more of the second setup with no bypass valve. basically turbo feeds the SC. (sc gets turbo spooling too)

i plan on getting a bigger turbo than this thing though. small turbos will spool up too quick and drop off at high rpm's. im looking for a T28 from a s15 SR20.

should look something like this when done

oh, and i wont have as much top end power as turbo alone, but i will have a much better power curve. worth sacrificing 20hp for imo.

    thanks.

it will be a tight fit too! haha. how do you make a cluster fuck more of a cluster fuck? add a supercharger, turbocharger, and an intercooler in the space that an NA motor was once in :hithead:

i should probably move that battery to the front....
