those are sweet but i would love a hks kit though but it discontinued. the trd one is nice though thanks for the replies too i should hopefully have some new pics up this weekend too.
thanks i know its not a huge differance in looks but i went from a 235/45 18 that were on the rims from my old crv and the new tires to 225/40 18 it rubbed a bit on the way to he tire shop but its all good now. and now i just need to get it alligned. i like the way it rides too. i kinda wish i would have had them painted some on i work with the other day thought they were my oe rims. thats why i hate silver wheel, even though they arent silver they are pretty close. with my toe in, in the back i will probly need new tires next year so i might save up to have them painted then. ov maybe over the winter when i take them off.
neg camber in the back doesn't really matter because the wheels never turn so you should be good with the tire ware. If the front is off thats another story. Thats from my observations of fwd cars not sure about rwd but i don't see it being any different unless your burning out all the time.
The new tires/wheels look awesome. Like Jmm said though, isnt it negative camber youre dealing with in the back not toe in. I dont even think its possible to have toe in in the back since there is normally no adjustability of that in the rear as far as I know. All I can say is that camber wears your tires out over a long period of time while toe wears them out quickly. Either way, good work, looks good!
no its toe in and neg camber, because its a double wishbone rear it has toe arms similar to tie rods when you lower the car the lower arm moves up and the toe arm pulls the wheel in twards it. its hard to picture without watching it happen but i'll try and snap some pics next time i take the wheels off in the back. and while we're talking about it i found some megan rear toe arms for my car, just wondering if anyone can vouch for their products. and thanks. i am loving the car more and more every time i work on it. up next is to get the allignment peices i need to get back to factory specs and then i'll be saving for something more crazy. or maybe some coilover first i cant decide.
cool. Well yea I guess that shows you what I know about RWD. Anyways, way to do it right, keep it up.
thanks i think i might go even lower with it. the koni yellows for me can drop an extra 20mm front and 10mm rear. and i hope to get a pro photo shoot soon, as soon as i get her polished and i find a photographer. so an update should be on its way.
ok so i have some new pics to load as soon as photobucket is done with maint. i have also been thinking about what to buy next. ive been looking a custom set of 19" work's a set of wed's 17x8-9 with advan a048's for tracking. a turbo kit, a body kit or body mods, like roof fins and or spoiler and trunk spoiler and altezza grille. or new coilover/aircup suspension. i also need to get polished and have my bumpers repainted because my wife customized my back bumper. and i'm thinking about a full repaint but not decided yet. the way i figure most of these will cost about 3k with the body mods and repainting the bumpers and dent pulling and polish about 3k toghter and turbo from 3k for a basic kit for about 350ish hp to a better kit for 450-550+ for about 6-7k and each wheel set about 3k also. and new coilover/aircup about 3k and about 1-2k in other suspension pieces to align my car right and tighten it up a bit. i just dont know where to go first. because i dont realy need wheels or suspension, but i realy want them. and i dont realy need to change the body. and i dont realy need to add power as i already waste enough gas because i love driving at about 120mph on the way to work every day. so i'm stuck. the only thing that i need to do is fixe the back bumper, my wife backed it into a poll. i dont totaly blame her it is an awefull place to have a poll it takes like 2feet out of our parking space so you almost have to pull an austin powers to get in and out. and she didnt hit it stright on it just scrached the side of the bumper, and nicked the 1/4 pannel. i figure it will cost about 5-600 to fix just the bumper and the nick in the 1/4 pannel. so i was just wondering where others might start off in my situation? pics up soon
nice work man.. id personally think that you should upgrade the SUS first and then do motor or body work... but its your call...id just want to make sure the SUS could handle and perform well with the turbo...and plus it doesn't hurt for it to ride better
well the only reason i said that i dont realy need to change the suspension is because i already changed the springs to tanabe df210's its low and rides smooth. i like it but i would like adjustability. but i dont realy need it you know.
but heres some more pics some of them are a little blurry sorry i need a new camera. (owned by point and shoot)
thanks. i just dont know where to go with it next. i am leaning more towards another set of wheels but, i can only use one set at a time and its almost time for the winter set anyways. i dont know maybe some body mods. i've aslo been kicking around the idea of a winter beater. maybe something automatic (ive been having problems with my clutch foot.)
ok so the trip to the green hell was great. it was one of the most awsome things ive ever done. ive got a couple of pics and a video. i'll post the vid as soon as it finishes loading. so here are just a couple of pics. the last one was a swiss spec gtr. the owner didnt give up a time but said it was still in the run-in and he's still adjusting to the car.
