Maikeru's NA6 Miata

Seeing how I was going to paint the valve cover, I was also thinking about getting a mazdaspeed oil cap. Last week, Moss Miata had them for $29.95 . This week they are $42.95 . If anyone knows where I can get one cheaper, you will be my hero. Most the people that were carrying them either dropped them or jacked the price way up (if fact some are charging up to $80 for it). RETARDED!!!

Anyway...someone be my hero!

 

Valve cover and Timing cover almost done!

Well, I ordered some stuff from Mazda and got the Valve cover and Timing Belt Cover painted. I also cleaned up the engine bay a little.

And here is the Valve cover. I still need to paint in the letters.

 

Well, parts finally came in, so the car is running again. I also ordered a Corksport radiator cooling panel as a gift to myself while I'm saving for coilovers.

So I've decided to stop being lazy and and get some stuff done this wed. and thurs. A couple new things that have been in my room for a while now.

JDM Eunos Roadster badges



Corksport Cooling Panel. I have to remove my airbag wiring to fit this, but it's been malfunctioning anyway so no biggie.



And last...the driveaxle seal.

So I got a Garage Vary front lip. I'm going to have to drill holes to mount it though. Once I get around to mounting it, I'll post pics.

Also, does anyone know if I should paint this before I mount it? I heard that UV rays can cause it to crack over time (kinda like a dash).

 

I've only seen them in black or whatever. Never heard of that problem.

 

Nice MX-5! I like it. I want one but I cant find one around here. I just moved out here near Chicago from the east coast where Miatas are rampant.

 

K. Well I bought some matte black spray paint anyway. It will match my sides a little better. And E. Jezzy, what town do you live in? Maybe we can chill sometime.

 

Well my ignition coil was on it's way out, and it kept stumbling over itself when I tried to floor it. Got a new coil that pushes 45K volts, compared to the stock 30K volts. Woot for better gas millage and acceleration!

 

Ordered some more goodies. Got some cup holders, shorty antenna and tow hooks. Also ordering some new plug wires soon.

I have not taken any pics ofthe towhooks installed yet, but here is a teaser pic.



Also rocking some new-ish stickers.






I also started to work on the rust bubbles on the rear fenders. Almost have them gone, just need paint....

 

sherman williams auto paint supply stores will sell color matched paint to your code in spraypaint form

it's where i'm picking some up as soon as it comes in

buy a phone that works... its kinda hard to text while driving a RWD turbo 2700lbs [with me in it] 240sx on 9 inch wide tires in the rain that loves to wheelspin in 5th under boost....
