We're in Western Canada! Nope, no recent photos yet but some of the changes so far include 17" rims, lowered slightly, added a tasteful spoiler, and new sound system. Have a box full of parts ready to go on once it gets it's new paint next winter - same colour more metallic (2000 Dodge Electric Blue). Needs new headlights, clear coat is chipping off and the lenses are pitted, still shoppin for those. Have replaced all the broken bits with E-Bay parts. Took a long time to find this car and was worth the effort - was in very good condition when I purchased it 5 years ago, only has 170k and has the typical Honda rear fender rot thing going on, the spot is tiny now so I figure it will hold together till next winter.
nice mods, me and thrule are from louisiana, with matching sols haha, power to the fellow sol'ers, i dont really wanna mod mine to much, maybe just do a midnight blue paint job, and possible rims, but just paint and exhaust i think.
Does it mean that you get to drive your Sols year round being that much closer to the equator than us? LOL I have to store mine for the winter months, the crap they put on the roads when it snows is hard on a car. The Del Sol is like a skate board on the ice! SMC - What kind of headlights did you put on yours? I gotta get new ones but don't know what type I should go with. Not a lot of chrome left on the car, was thinking of amber corners with black housing, clear glass. I don't want euros, don't like those much, can't have black lens (illegal here) cause Dudly Doowright will haul me in. Have been hassled cause I took my front plate off, had to put it back on. Alarm is going in on Thursday, after putting all this effort into it I'd cry like a baby if some idiot came along and took my Sol.
LOL yes it does. I even drove with my top off some during the winter. I also have a captive blue sol that is in need of some headlights. Thinking about the clear & amber corners w/black housing as well. Im going to add some more black trim to mine first as to not give it "The mask of Zorro" look. + im going to smoke the driving lights. Post some picks of your car i would like to see what it looks like... Here is mine

Hey SM what the brand name on those head lights. I like them too, cept I want amber corners. Is there a plastic cover over the black parts of the housing or is this exposed? Hard to tell from this angle. How long have you had them on here? Any problems with them? Guy told me yesterday not put the cheap replacements as they leak, condensate and are of poor quailty. We put a set on my old Escort GT and they seem to be fine. What to do!
Hi guys, I'm from the UK I have a 93 JDM Del Sol Samba Green with Transtop. DOHC B16A Engine which in JDM form is nearly 180 bhp. I've tried to keep my car fairly standard, I'm not a lover of big body kits. I've fitted 17" rims with 205/40/17 tyres, a high flow cat with a custom stainless exhaust, supra style rear lights, the spoiler is std JDM. In the engine bay I've added a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, an Ractive cold air intake, 8.5mm silicone HT leads with iridium sparkplugs, Greddy high pressure rad cap, Mugen thermostat & fan switch & Tenzo R front & rear upper strut brace. I'm just in the process of retrimming the interior & adding some new seats. Then when the weather here gets better (its not only Canada that has it bad!)it needs a spray as the paint is faded in some areas. djdshaw, sry i dont like your sol much...and your really confusing, you dont like bid body kits, but yet you have ricy tail lights... sry to hate and all my sol...
Each to his own, needed new tail lights as the car was rear ended & could'nt get any Honda lights, I have to say dude the only additions you seem to have are a front lip. There are some really wild fronts & spoilers out there that spoil the look. Whats with the steel rims anyway. At least I get the Jap spec engine(180 bhp std), electric roof , OEM boot spoiler & lower fogs. These were never offered as an option in the USA, plus the steering wheels on the correct side !! Don't mind opinions but don't start running mine down when yours isn't exactly a show winner.
lol, i must stop gettin on here when im drunk and after seeing several ricers in my area (RICERS EVERYWHERE where i live)... yea sry about hating, yea that side shot looks pretty good... but yea i like your sol except for the tails, and im not on jdms nuts so the electronic roof dosent impress me ohh i got the s model, cuz sols are really rare in my area and couldnt find any other better model, and the usa's s model has steelies, and i have to point out my exhaust and how low my car is, and i got some few engine mods... will be lower once i get some better struts on there ohh the lower fogs are sick, and again sry for hating, i was just drunk and also sick of seeing rice type tail lights
