ok for those that dont know i live in germany. here they sold the crx and civic with b16 EE8 and EE9 chassis', basicly lhd version of the EF8 and EF9. they seem to have just about everything the jdm ones would but in LHD. they arent very common but they are around. i was looking at some for sale just now from about 3500-7000 USD. i was wondering if any one would pay that much for one.

why? i would just buy a shell for like $500 and swap in a motor of my choosing for $1700

    and to answer that question
H22 with F22 crank and rods bolted onto a B-series trans

rapes K24s all day long without the $10K pricetag

    i totaly agree
but i also see the value of all of the parts on the car
its not a normal crx like we have in the states
    its basicly a lhd sir
it has the same front bumper lights hood fenders 500-1000
    leather crx vtec seats 100-200
    rear seats 100-200
    matching leather door caps 50-150
power windows and mirrors never seen for sale but i would guess about 200 and up
    rear spoiler about 150
b16a with ac that would bolt in and plug right in about 2000-3000 with work and shipping
thats about 3000 -6500 just in the parts on the car

i have been thinking about doing it but i have a hard time doing it because its alot of money
but start adding all of the jdm parts on your own cars and you'll see it adds up realy quick

    I would...

Come On think about It.. I would Pay $5000
and Just because Its a CRX doesnt Mean Its a Cheap Car, If I Find a CRX in MINT Condition Anywhere, Im Gonna Pay the Cash to have It, then Add on the Exclusive Parts Later On, but If the CRX Already has the Parts On It and Its in Good -Mint Condition Its Well Worth It.

If all else Fails... Part It Out...:rocks:

i agree its well worth it my previous crx was basicly a drivable shell and i put about 3-4k into it and didnt even touch the exterior or anything jdm
it was in a full suspension with braces upper and lower and a set of slips with azenis rt615's and it made an awsome autox car and was fast enough peg the speedo to the 240km/h and still go faster
but i have a much cleaner crx right now that i was going to sell but i have been thinking about picking up one of these ee8 which like i said is basicly a lhd SiR and doing the conversion. because the crx i have now is no rust straight body k&W coilovers already leather front seats less than 2 year old paint and needs little cosmetic work to be a very clean car. and it might not take anyones breath away once converted but in my eyes it would be a car worth keeping around untill it wasnt drivable any more

i know. i just though for the price of parts separatly it would be worth it to just get the car and then swap the parts to mine. but then agian i'm not sure if im going to keep it yet i just barely got it running and i wouldnt have the money for the donor car for about 6-8 months at least
then theres my new car that i badly want to put the new volk re30's and that alone will be about the price of that crx donor car.
so i guess i'll see how the taxes coming up will treat me and if i can pay off some bills then i will be more willing to take this on.
i also might be selling my crv soon too so i guess time will tell.
