hey im looking into getting some suspension stuff for my 90 ls. im on a real tight budget so if someone could help me out i would really appreciate it.

what i am asking is how far can i drop it before i have camber issues? right now its on 15's and 195/50's. i want to do skunk2 coilovers and a nice but cheap shock but not sure which as i am relatively new to suspension.

any and all help would be much appreciated. thank you

Well first off, what is your budget and what is the car used for?

its just a street daily that i want to eliminate the gap between the tire and the fender.

my budget is around 400 give or take

i heard somewhere that you can drop your car on the sleeve type coilovers and not have any issues with shocks or camber as long as its no more than 2.5 inches, is that true?

The more you drop it without a camber kit the more (-) camber youre gonna get obviously. A 2.5" is a medium drop so it will most likely give you some camber but nothing crazy. Camber will wear your tires more on the inside over a long period of time but as long as your toe is adjusted correctly you wont be too bad. I would recommend a brand name (NO EBAY SHIT!) coilover sleeve if you plan on playing with the ride height. If youre gonna set it and forget it go for some springs because the coilover sleeves can strip out or have other sorts of problems. Also if you plan on changing shocks I would go with KYBs due to their good quality/performance and affordability.

Be sure to take a look at your rear trailing arm bushings. If they have never been changed, it would be a good time to do so. Go with Energy or OEM.

I would just do lowering springs on your stock struts.
New struts/shocks is going to be more than $400 and with springs you are going to be close to the price of full coilovers.

And it will only lower you about 2" the most, so don't expect to lose all the wheel gap.
