Well since I don't have a car anymore, I've been rolling around with my gf now. Well I noticed that when she turns off her car completely, the stereo is still on. I asked why is that? And she told me that the pervious owner hooked the stereo right to the car battery. So I open the hood and sure enough, theres a red wire running from the stereo to the battery. So my question is, does anybody know how to rewire the stereo so that its not hooked up to the battery?? She owns a 1993 Toyota Paseo btw.

93 sw20 wiring diagram (radio only, more likely the same/similar to the paseo, at least as far as the power source)

    From Under the Hood.

From Under the Hood You Should Just Disconnect the Red Wire from the Hot Battery and Connect It to the Fuse Box to a Hot Accessory...

Well you have to have one wire directly to battery and other needs to be to the accs.. I believe the yellow one is constant. If you don't do it like that you will have to redo all of you setting every time you start that car.

Well it goes into the car and of course under the dash.

Am going to try and hook it into the fuse box and see if that works.
