A total of 1,618 Spyders were ever produced. 741 were the non-turbo SL model and 877 were the twin-turbo VR4

Performance wise, dont go with SLs. All 3000GTs are heavy as hell but unlike the 320hp AWD Twin Turbo VR-4s, SLs and Base models have only 218-222hp and are FWD. Also know that convertibles are heavier and have less structural rigidity then their coupe counterparts.

I never knew drop-top TT's existed, until "LegLover" was in SportCompactCar's Ultimate Street Car Challenge with his 3KGT convertible. He did poorly against most of the competition. (R32, MR-S, Supra, SC'ed Viper)
