hello ladies and gents..lol i have a 92 GSR with a couple things done.. ITR cams, blox IM, blox TB, intake, exaust, p28-skunk2 chiped, skunk2 coilovers.. i stay in West Palm Beach F.L. now for the first ??? when my motor is cold it starts up and runs like a rotary and wont idle and it wont rev out.. now after about 15+ mins of driving it runs fine all of a sudden, its not throwing any code and i have no clue what it is...
i had a honda that did that once. someone told me it was the pcv valve. but thats been a long time ago(like 1995) so i dont remember exactly.
so it only runs crappy when the motor is cold or the ecu too? also any other driveability problems? i will fix this problem dont worry
it stoped doing it today.. but it still sounds like shit..???? i think its something with the distributor..
y do you say the distributor? was it warm today? it kinda sounds like the ecu has a problem because it is fine. you can test this by starting the car and letting everything get up to temp then take a can of like dust off and hold it upside down and then spray it at the ecu if it does it then you know thats whats going on then heat it back up with a hair dryer and see if it stops. this will not harm the ecu i do it all the time to test problems.
if it was the distributor then it would have bad spark and hesitate when stepping on the gas. try pulling the distributor cap off and looking at it. if it is full of junk or hasnt been changed then a good full tune up is necessary. belts hoses new spark plugs plug wires dist. cap and rotor and good oil change. air filter all these things will give you better fuel economy and also better power
all of these things you have just listed are changed every month if not sooner... thanks for the input
