maybe frankenstein? which would be a non-vtec block with a vtec head. used in D series (mini-me), B series (lsvtec, b20vtec/crvtec), and just about anything else pertaining to a mutant motor (mixed and matched parts)
My friend had a GSR motor he called a "freak" motor because supposedly it made a lot more power than it should have for the mods he had on it, and he said every now and then there is a honda motor like that, but it sounded like a load of BS to me...
Freak Defined... I have Herd this Term Several Times... It Means that a Motor was Shipped from Japan with a Suprise Like a Built Bottom or Built Top End or a Fully Built Motor that had Its work Done In Japan By the Previous Owner, then the Motor was taken out and Shipped to the USA with all the Internals... Now the New Owner expects a Stock Motor But Receives the Added Upgrades an the Extra Power... :rocks:
yeah especially if u just did a swap and didnt know and u go dyno it and expect like 200hp and find 300hp
when i first got my Dc before i did the Ls/v i called it a freak because i would run other cars with the same mods i had but i would smoke them. basic Ls motor with a short ram intake and a stock clutch chirpin 3rd was a lil weird especially here in colorado cause cars cant breath up here lol. but thats my definition of a freak motor.
yeah that's what they were tellin me some stuff about mini me's and ls/vtec's but i didn't know if they knew what they were talkin about.
